For over a quarter of a century, the Viennese trio Radian has been toiling away at the fusion of post-rock and improvised music. Their music is highly spontaneous and versatile in the constant transitions between analogue and digital – and intriguingly cerebral in the creation of acoustic space, the use of stereo effect, and the scintillating twisting of sound. And – far from weary at any point – it often touches on swing and groove. At donaufestival, they will present their new album dISTORTED rOOMS, which will be released in September 2023.
