When does donaufestival take place?
donaufestival takes place once per year on two weekends at the end of April and beginning of May.

Where does donaufestival take place precisely?
donaufestival takes place in Krems an der Donau, Lower Austria at two main venues:
The Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche, Minoritenplatz 4, hosts the afternoon concerts and performances. In the early evening the programme shifts to the Messegelände, an event hall complex on Utzstraße 12.

Where can I buy tickets?

Tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket office of the NÖ Festival und Kino GmbH in Krems at the State Gallery of Lower Austria.
NÖKU Tickets
Tickets are available in all NÖKU Tickets partner offices: Kartenbüro Bühne Baden, Kartenbüro Grafenegg, Kartenbüro St. Pölten (Rathausplatz), Kartenbüro Grafenegg & Tonkünstler (Herrengasse, Vienna).

Box office
On festival days between 10 am and 6:30 pm in Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche (Minoritenplatz 5) and from 12pm at the box office Messegelände (Utzstraße 12).
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets or the online-ticket reservations have to be swapped at one of the box offices for a festival wristband, granting access to the festival venues.
Are there multi-day passes?
In addition to the day pass, we also offer additional discounted multi-day passes with a fee combination of day-passes. This elective subscription is available exclusively online at www.donaufestival.at or by calling the ticket hotline 02732/908033.
To purchase the multi-day passes, put the desired days in the shopping cart. The subscription price will then be calculated automatically after logging in / registration.
PLEASE NOTE: the selection of days made when purchasing the voting ticket is binding and can not be changed afterwards.
How do I obtain my festival wristband?
You can pick up your festival wristband either at the Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche, Minoritenplatz 5, 3500 Krems/Stein between 10:00 am – 06:30 pm or at the box office at the Messegelände, Utzstraße 12, 3500 Krems from 12:00 pm on.
How do I get to the donaufestival and how can I get back home?
All details such as directions, buses, parking lots, etc can be found here.
We recommend taking the train to Krems. For your return trip we offer a bus transfer service to Vienna.
Is there a shuttle bus?
There are shuttle buses from Krems to Vienna. This year we offer an earlier and a later departure for the first time!

Tickets for the shuttle bus service must be booked online in advance. Get your bus ticket here.
There is no shuttle bus service between the festival venues. Walking distance between both venues is about 15 minutes.
I would like to see just a specific concert/performance. Is that possible?
It is not possible to purchase tickets for individual acts. Day passes must be purchased in this case.
PLEASE NOTE: For some performances additional numbered tickets must be reserved on the day of the event. They will be available starting April 25 here.
Why do I have to make reservations for some performances?
Due to limited capacity we recommend the reservation of free numbered tickets to secure entry to these performances. We want to avoid visitors having to wait in a long line and possibly ending up not being admitted to the performance.

Is there food and catering?
Yes, there are food and drinks at the two main festival venues from several caterers, including vegetarian and vegan dishes. There is free drinking water at the main venues.
