In the last few years, Danish screech-andnoise exhibitionist Frederikke Hoffmeier aka Puce Mary has become known for her extravagant, nerve-shredding concert events. Like her sister in spirit Pharmakon, she tends to put her audience in a predicament with superior beauty and aggressive physical harassment. But now, with The Drought, she also has an astounding ballad album on her hands. To scrunching noises of a microwaved hard disk and undead church organ tootling, she professes her passion to dominate, possess, and torment.
