Good Luck is the name of the debut album by Canadian-based singer Debby Friday, which she will present at this edition of donaufestival. Against a backdrop of metallic industrial beats, she sings and raps about the violence and discrimination that have gripped her life as a queer black woman and immigrant. But their songs are also about sexual sovereignty and the erotic pleasure derived from acting out aggressions and resolute resistance in the face of a patriarchal society. Debby Friday knows that every desire is also dangerous. And that only violence will help where violence reigns.
