The sound of electric bodies: Finnish duo Amnesia Scanner produces frigidly enlightened gospel music, serene and apocalyptic at once. Their songs foretell the imminent end of humanity; you hear a chorus of rusty robots, melodically shredded stadium rave, and black metal thrash composed by an AI. At donaufestival, they present their new project strobe.rip, which they developed in collaboration with the French, New York-based artist Freeka Tet. It explores isolation and survival in the collapsing ecosystems and information environments of our contemporary times.
