Dream Machine 3000, an installation by musician-composer Michael Fischer and visual artist and sound performer Albert Mayr, is a reference to the Dream Machine of Brion Gysin and Ian Sommerville, which has influenced numerous artists of subsequent generations since the 1960s. Sound and light, understood as a cultural achievement of urban societies, which can be experienced here in a hacked arrangement as “neon tube music”, create an intermedial architecture that makes new contexts tangible.
